We have
adopted Learning Combination Lock (LCL) technology by John P.Wilson
as
our tool to create an
increasingly seamless experience combining work and learning.
The
LCL model above which in its elementary sense is based
on the notion that a
person
interacts with the external environment through their senses.
Relates to the various componentsfound in the
external environment and which may be used as part of the
learning process.
Describes a number of options which can be
incorporated within outdoor management development and other
indoor learning exercise.
Mediator which describes
which connects the external environment and
its associated stimuli with the internal cognitive
environment. Our senses alert us to the presence of the
stimuli which begin the process of perceiving and
interpreting.
Presents some of the
vast range of emotional responses we can make to the stimuli
and is a very powerful aspect of the learning equation. We
instill certain emotions to enhance the learning situation
and increase the possibility of transfer to, and within, the
work situation.
Illustrates some of
the various forms of intelligence whose development may be
the objective of the learning process which includes the
concept of spiritual intelligence.
Represents
some of the various theories of learning. By making this
explicit we may better understand our own thinking and the
behaviour and motives of learners.
